This is an exciting opportunity for a budding copywriter to join a new Digital Marketing team. A great position for a creative genius with a keen interest in writing or journalism, or for a keyboard ninja looking to expand their knowledge of SEO and online marketing.
Over the last 5 years we have developed our SEO strategy, and compelling content is the backbone. We have a number of in-house projects and work with businesses across a variety of industries, so you’ll need to be comfortable writing about anything and everything. Well researched content written to strict targets and deadlines is a must.
Not only will you be expanding your writing portfolio but you’ll be learning one of the internet’s most sought-after skills – SEO. Training will be provided on the job and you will be expected to learn while working. As a growing digital marketing company you will also have lots of opportunity for growth.
Main Responsibilities
- Creating various formats of engaging content (product descriptions, ad copy, informative posts etc.)
- Writing content for a wide range of topics
- Editing and improving existing content
- Uploading content to various web platforms, including WordPress
- Proofreading and correcting errors in written content
- Assisting with management of social media channels
- Staying up to date with SEO best practices
- Managing freelancers, including briefing and giving feedback about their work
- Assisting team members in other areas of the business
Key Skills
- An excellent standard of written English, preferably college level education or higher
- Ability to research and write on just about any topic
- Ability to write using different tones (professional, humorous etc.)
- A keen eye for detail
- A knowledge of SEO / user experience is desired but not essential
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, WordPress and popular Social Media platforms
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
